Abstract

With the advancement of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and its crucial component, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), China and Pakistan, as "all-weather strategic cooperative partners of cooperation", have not only strengthened their cooperation in political and economic fields but also achieved significant results in cultural exchanges. The Chinese publishing industry has actively responded to national policies by promoting mutual understanding between the two peoples through diverse thematic selections, particularly in showcasing the positive impact of CPEC on regional development. This paper focuses on books with Pakistani themes published in China since 2013, examining their characteristics in terms of topic selection, publishing elements, and program achievements, and reveals how China's publishing sector has responded to the Belt and Road Initiative and actively participated in deepening China-Pakistan relations in concrete practice. Emphasizing the important role of publishing activities in serving the country's overall diplomatic strategy, especially in promoting people-to-people exchanges and enhancing mutual understanding.Furthermore, this study encourages more scholars to pay attention to this field, driving the development of related academic research. By doing so, it aims to contribute to the construction of a more comprehensive and profound knowledge system regarding Sino-Pakistani relations.
